The Concordia Gallery will showcase 15 Minnesota artists at the upcoming “Latino, Art Migration” exhibit Jan. 30-Feb. 24. Working in different media, the collection of local artists will explore the unsettled emotions and mindsets of the immigrant experience. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, Feb. 2, from 5-7 p.m.
The exhibit has the promotional support of The Film Society of Minneapolis- St. Paul and its Cine Latino program, with special thanks to Michael McColl and Alex Poepping for graphic and installation support, and to the Consulado de México, Minnesota.
The artists in the exhibition include: Alonso Sierralta, Ana Laura Juarez, Andy Richter, Douglas Padilla, Cecilia Cornejo, Gustavo Torres, Guillermo Cuellar, Jonathan Herrera, Luis Fitch, Maria Cristina Tavera, Miguel Gonzalez, Robert Everest, Rubén Urrutia, Selma Fernández Richter and Xavier Tavera.
