Adult Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony

Location: Gangelhoff Center

Students earning a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Bachelor of Science degree.

Graduate, Educational Specialist and Doctor of Physical Therapy Programs Commencement Ceremony

Date: Saturday, May 6, 2017
Time: 2:00 p.m.
Location: Gangelhoff Center

Students receiving a Master of Arts, Master of Business Administration, Master of Science, Educational Specialist or Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.

Baccalaureate Service

Date: Friday, May 5, 2017
Time: 4:00 p.m.
Location: Buetow Music Center Auditorium

The Baccalaureate service is a celebration of and thanksgiving to God for lives dedicated to learning, wisdom, and service. The 40-minute ceremony will include Biblical readings, a homily by President Ries, hymns for the assembly, anthems from Concordia’s Christus Chorus, and prayers and blessings for the graduates and their families. The Baptismal calling and vocation of the entire community will be recognized in a litany led by President Ries and Rev. Timothy Kinee.

All students, faculty, staff and their family and friends are welcomed and encouraged to attend this special service. Graduating students are encouraged to wear their academic attire as they sit with their family, celebrating their academic achievement.

General reservations are not required and admission is free.

Alumni Reception

  • Traditional Undergraduate Reception – Friday, May 5, 5 – 6:30 p.m., The Knoll
  • Adult Undergraduate & Graduate Reception – Saturday, May 6, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., The Knoll

The Alumni Association welcomes graduating students and their immediate family to mix and mingle, learn about opportunities to stay connected with CSP, and enjoy refreshments. New alumni who attend will receive a gift and have the chance to update their information.
