The Somali Museum of Minnesota

Would you like to be apart of the only museum in North America that preserves Somali traditional art and culture!? The Somali Museum of Minnesota is looking for people to fill three different volunteer opportunities; Mobile Exhibition Assistant, Museum Gallery Assistant, Outreach and Marketing Intern. The museum is looking for students who are creative,  interested in history and the Somali culture, and are willing to learn!  These volunteer opportunities give experience in education, programming, gallery and collection care, and marketing and development.

Girls on the Run

Make a difference for girls in the Twin Cities this year! Girls on the Run (GOTR) is non-profit organization that provides a safe, fun, and encouraging after school program for elementary and middle-school aged girls. They are looking for volunteers to be assistant coaches and YOU would be a great coach​! Osseo Adult Basic Education

Do you enjoy helping others grow in their education? Osseo Area Schools Adult Basic Education Program is looking for student volunteers who are enthusiastic, well-prepared, and work well with others. Jeremiah Program- Make a difference for young women & their children

During the fall, the Jeremiah Program brings together volunteers who surround mother’s and their kids with the support that helps drive their success. Volunteers help mom’s and their children continue to learn and grow. Volunteer opportunities include cooking and child care while the mother’s attend Life Skills classes and many other options as well! The program is currently looking for volunteers on Tuesday & Thursday evenings at both their St. Paul & Minneapolis locations.

MN Literacy Counsel- ABC’s of Reading Training

Are you interested in being a reading tutor for young children? ABC’s of Reading is a free 3-hour workshop that helps prepare adults to become reading tutors for children in grades K-3. The workshop is a one-time training that is perfect for classroom volunteers and tutors of after-school programs. The program was designed by the Minnesota Literacy Counsel, Minneapolis Public Schools, and the University of Minnesota.

MN Museum of American Art- Visitor Services Representative

Are you interested in art? Do you enjoy talking about art? If so, then this volunteer opportunity is for you! The museum is looking for someone to greet visitors to their Project Space gallery and to oversee the exhibitions. They are looking for volunteers who are outgoing, friendly, team-oriented, and flexible. The commitment includes at least 2 shifts per month, varying from 11am-6pm on Thursday & Fridays and 10am-4pm on Saturdays & Sundays.
