The Concordia University St. Paul Food Shelf is for students and community members. The CSP Food Shelf partners with Second Harvest Heartland, a non-profit that distributes large amounts of donated food to a variety of organizations and programs that directly serve clients. Who Qualifies for the CSP Food Shelf?
- Qualify for Government Assistance/Food Benefits
- Or Who are Struggling Financially and do not have a meal plan on campus
- Minnesota resident
- Receives or participates in Government Assistance/Food Benefits programs
- OR income is 200% or less of the Federal Poverty Guidelines
*Eligibility is granted to all persons in situations of emergency and distress due to disasters
Food Shelf Location and Hours
The Food Shelf opens on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. to allow income eligible students and members of the local community to select a bag or two of groceries.
The food shelf is located at Concordia University, in the 1371 Marshall Avenue building, between the Holiday gas station on Marshall Avenue and Higher Ground Academy. Go in the front door and turn right to find the food shelf.
Make a Food Donation to the Concordia Food Shelf
Non-Perishable items are accepted. Donations are accepted at any time in the Community, Action, Leadership, & Learning (CALL) Center office (located in Meyer Hall, off of the tunnel). Make a Monetary Donation to the Concordia Food Shelf
Because the CSP Food Shelf purchases food from Second Harvest, your dollar buys up to five times as much food when you donate cash rather than groceries. Mail monetary donations to the CALL Center, Concordia University Food Shelf, 1282 Concordia Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55104 – Make checks payable to Concordia University Food Shelf.
