Students in CSP’s math and technology programs invited alumni to participate in a mentoring event on Sunday, Nov. 24. Ten alumni answered the call to share food and advice with the 35 students in attendance.

While gathered in small groups, they focused on specific career objectives the students learned from the alumni mentors about careers in actuary, data science, IT management, secondary education, software development and systems analysis.

The alumni group represented a variety of corporations, including CHS, Optum, Securian, Target, 3M, Travelers, and United Healthcare. The students and faculty from the Departments of Mathematics and Computer & Information Science are grateful to the alumni for their participation in this impactful event.
