November 15: CSP Hosts Heginbotham Literary Lecture
The Department of English and Modern Languages will host "Possibilities:" The Heginbotham Literary Lecture Series on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m., in the E.M. Pearson Theatre. Award-winning Minnesota author Patricia Hampl will be the featured speaker at the inaugural lecture. In her most recent book I Could Tell You Stories: Sojourns in the Land of Memory, Hampl reflects on the landscape bordered by memory and imagination in a series of story-like recollections and essays. All three books were selected as New York Times Notable Books of the Year. Hampl also is a Regents? Professor at the University of Minnesota and permanent faculty with the Prague Summer Program.
The Heginbotham Literary Lecture Series is made possible by private donors who established an endowment to honor Dr. Eleanor Heginbotham and her distinguished record of teaching and scholarship at Concordia University as well as her many contributions to the literary community in the Twin Cities.
