Concordia University Athletics – “Top 4” Student-Athletes Awards

 WHAT:           To recognize the Top Four student athletes who emulate the highest standards of sportsmanship and superior character in every aspect of their life.  To recognize those student athletes who have utilized their leadership skills, not only to benefit their team, but to engage in co-curricular activities on campus and in the community.  To recognize the overall role our well rounded student-athletes are contributing to the University.

 WHEN:           Annually at the Put Me in Coach fundraising event for athletics.  This years’ event will be held on the campus of Concordia University on April 26, 2008

 WHO:              All current student-athletes who are in good standing are eligible for nomination

 CRITERIA:    Character and Leadership; Academic Achievement; Athletic Participation; Extracurricular/Community Involvement; Special feature about student-athlete            

NOMINATION:        Faculty, Staff and Coaches are eligible to nominate student-athletes

2007 Top Four Winners:  Tony Boxwell, Alan Stage, Erin Thompson, and Rachel Vitense

Selection Committee:    Lisa Raitz, Brady Starkey, Barb Kalvik, Angie Nippert, Jan Baumgart
