Spring 08 Student Census Hits a High Mark

The total university spring 2008 enrollment of 2,236 is higher than in any previous spring term.  The primary reason for the increase over past years is the large increase in graduate students.  The majority of current graduate students are in the M.A. in Education programs initiated in May 2007 and offered in the face-to-face cohort format at various Minnesota school district sites and on-campus.  Traditional spring enrollment is the highest it has been in many years.  The decline in B.A. degree-completion totals is partially due to the end of January timing of the census count.  Course work ended for a number of cohorts during January.  Several cohort starts are planned for February.  Summary census information is provided below.  The complete census report is posted on the Institutional Research website.  Click on Institutional Research at the lower left corner of the Faculty/Staff Portal.  The site is password-protected.  Enter csp\yourusername and your regular network password to gain access.  Please contact David Stueber (x8847), Institutional Research with questions.
