A news story aired on KSTP-TV Channel 5 this week regarding Concordia’s partnership with Global Technologies, the maker of XPRESS Transporter – a type of upright scooter. This summer, the Hmong Language & Culture Camp used the EXPRESS Transporter to provide a more rapid response for medical emergencies that arose among the more that 500 campers who were on campus each day. The scooters continue to benefit the University for emergency transport around campus. The KSTP-TV report included an interview with campus Health Center director Cher Rafftery and footage of her using the Transporter to help a student on crutches to class.
