Student Employee Learning Consultants

Concordia students have the opportunity to gain new skills by tutoring their peers. This is a way to explore an interest area, such as teaching or psychology, if you are uncertain about a major. This position also allows you to connect with other students, practice workplace skills, and enjoy the additional benefits of increasing your understanding of the material.

This is a paid student worker position.  Please click here Student Employee Job Description and Student Employee Learning Consultant Application for a job description and application.  Please complete the application and return it to the Tutoring Coordinator. A professor's signature is required for each course/discipline, so hard copies are only accepted.  The professors' signatures are necessary to show that you have an understanding of the course content.  You may drop off the application to the Tutoring Services in AD-121.

After you submit your application to Tutoring Services, the Tutoring Coordinator will schedule an interview with you.  If you are selected as a Learning Consultant and a student is requesting services in your discipline, then you will be asked to attend a meeting where you will meet your client.  You will also be asked to complete the on-line training module by a specific deadline.

The hours of this position are flexible.  You and your client will determine a schedule that works for you!
