Each spring, the Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs (HECUA) and member schools sponsor a one-day workshop specifically for students (as well as recent alumni). The Working for Change workshop provides an opportunity to explore careers with a focus on social justice. Presenters will be practitioners from a variety of non-profits, schools, and other organizations that represent pathways to careers in social change.
By attending you will:
- gain a better understanding of career options
- learn what it takes to work for change and get paid
- network with people who have similar interests and values

Careers in the Field Panels: Post-College Service Programs; Careers in Public Service; Jobs in Nonprofits; International Work: Here or Abroad; Community and Labor Organizing; Youth Work; Working for the Arts and Social Change; Careers in Environmental Issues; Careers in Health Care and Social Work
Career Skill-Building Workshops: Resumes; Job Search Resources/Strategies; Getting the Most Out of the Job Offer; Informational Interviews; Grad School; Socially Responsible Financial Planning; Finding Community After Graduation
