The Office of Service-Learning can provide aide and resources on integrating service-learning into curriculum, evaluating and assessing service-learning projects, principles and practices/models of service-learning, various issues and topics related to civic engagement and education, and connections to community organizations, as well as professional development opportunities.
The Office of Service-Learning will:
-provide examples of service-learning projects in each discipline
-help make faculty aware of community needs
-contact community organizations to make arrangements for service-learning students
-help match students with volunteer opportunities that meet their needs and interests
-speak to classes about service-learning and answer student questions
-help with assessment of the service-learning experience
-assist students with transportation and scheduling difficulties
-provide all needed forms (see Forms/Documents to Download pages for Faculty Course Survey, Liability Waiver, Service-Learning Contract, SL Course Designation Form, and other important documents )
-assist and consult faculty to create better service-learning experiences and develop student leaders
