Community Action, Leadership & Learning Center—What can it do for me?

For students

  • Volunteer! The CALL Center has a vast list of volunteer opportunities for you to get involved right here in your college community!  Whether you have scholarship hours to fulfill or are looking for ways to meet new people, come to the CALL Center to get help finding out how your gifts can match up with local community organizations.
  • Group opportunities!  Are you looking for ways to get involved and meet other CSP students?  Join the CALL Center’s email listserv to find out about monthly group volunteer opportunities.
  • Join a service trip!  Service Trip applications are available on the service-learning page on the portal: http://concordia.csp.edu/ServiceLearning/forms.html or email Kelly Dotson for an application: Dotson@csp.edu.  This year we are headed to Texas or the Gulf Coast to help with hurricane relief.
  • Leadership Certificate!  Students have the opportunity to gain a leadership certificate through the CALL Center.  Through taking a leadership class and completing the required steps, you can earn a Leadership Certificate to add to your resume!

For faculty

  • Lead a service-learning course!  The CALL Center is here to serve as a resource and guide to help faculty set up service-learning courses.
  • Offer experiential education opportunities!  Use the CALL Center for ideas as to how to incorporate various ‘hands-on’ experiences for your students—whether it is a one-time event or a reoccurring event throughout the semester, consider offering various experiential means for integrated learning.
  • Volunteer! Use your gifts to reach out to the St Paul/Minneapolis community!  The CALL Center has dozens of ways for you to get involved!

For staff
