Security Escort Service

What is an escort?

The Concordia University Security Department has established an escort service to act as a watchguard of personal safety while on campus or in the neighborhood community. Escorts are designed to create a safer walking environment for individuals of the campus community. Escorts are given 24 hours a day and are performed by a uniformed security officer(s), who are in contact with a dispatcher.

Who can use Security escorts?

Anyone who is part of the campus community can take advantage of safety and security escorts. This includes students (both male & female), faculty, and staff. The use of the escort service is highly recommended for people walking alone or those that feel uncomfortable traveling in the immediate area.

How can I get a Security escort?

An escort can be obtained by dialing �641-8278� or �641-8777� from any off-campus phone or by dialing �0� or �8777� from any on-campus phone.

What information does Security need for an escort to be completed?

2. your location
3. your destination

What Safety and Security escorts are not?

• Your own personal taxi service.
• Transportation to commercial businesses or locations north of Interstate 94.
• Transportation to and from work.
• Transportation to and from shopping or restaurants.
