Summer Housing

Summer Housing Information

  1. Application Process – Complete the application and turn in during Housing Sign-Ups on Friday, March 20 from 12-5pm in LTC 214/215.  Application received March 20 will get priority for room assignments.  Applications will be accepted until April 10, 2009.  Late applications will be accepted on a space-available basis and should be turned into Residence Life (Heidi Goettl, RLC 128).
     ~Summer Housing will be in the RLC.  There are 4-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and studio apartments available.  Please indicate your preference on the application along with roommate preferences.
     ~There is a $50 non-refundable down payment due with the application.
     ~Students will be notified of Summer Housing Assignments the week of April 20, 2009 via campus mail. Click HERE to download application.
  2. Summer 2009 Housing Agreement Addendums – Numbers in parenthesis indicate the item of the agreement that is modified for summer.  All policy items apply in summer just as they do during the academic year:
     (3) – Summer housing fees do NOT include a meal plan
     (5) – Residents must give a minimum of 14 days written notice of intent to vacate the hall earlier than stated on the application.  Written notification must be made to Residence Life Manager Heidi Goettl.
  3. Start/Stop Dates – It is essential that you indicate exact start and stop dates on your application.  Planning and billing cannot be done without exact dates (month and date).  Move-in and out dates will be available in your assignment letter.
  4. Cost – The fee for summer housing will be based on a weekly- or all-summer-basis.  The cost per week (7 days, Sunday-Saturday) is $210.  The cost for the summer is as follows:
     4-Bedroom Apartment: $1,250
     Studio Apartment: $1,250
     2-Bedroom Apartment: $1,540
  5. Summer Dates to Remember – Please note these dates on your calendar:
    May 15 – 6pm – Residence Halls close for Spring Semester (non-graduating students)
     May 16 – 6pm – Residence Halls close for Spring Semester (graduating students)
     May 26-June 12 – Summer Session 1
     June 15-July 2 – Summer Session 2
     July 6-July 23 – Summer Session 3
     July 31 – Summer Housing ends
     August 22 – RLC move-in for fall semester
