Residence Life Center

What are the apartments like?
The standard apartment is a four bedroom unit with two bathrooms, kitchen and living room.  There are a limited number of two bedroom and studio apartments.

What will be provided?
The kitchens will have a full size refrigerator, stove, and microwave.  The common area will have a table and chairs, 3-piece sectional, end table, coffee table and entertainment center. Each bedroom will have a bed, desk, dresser and pedestal.

What is the cost to live in the Residence Life Center?
The 2009-2010 costs are: 4-bedroom apartment: $3,625/semester or $7,250/academic year; 2-bedroom and studio apartment: $4,375/semester or $8,750/academic year.

Will I still have a meal plan?
Residents of the RLC will have the choice of a 5 meal a week/100 Flex$ or a 3meal a week/200$ meal plan for the basic room and board charge. For $950 a semester residents may upgrade to a full meal plan.

Can I stay for the summer?
Yes, students will be able to sign up for a 12 month agreement, and not need to move for the summer.  In fact, 12 month agreements are strongly encouraged!  A down payment of $50 is due at the time of sign-up.

Will I have my own bedroom?
Yes, each resident will have their own bedroom.  The bedroom dimensions are approximately 8’x11’. For comparison, the standard Wollaeger room is 12’x16’ and the average Luther room is 12’ x 18’.

Can I get a single apartment?
There are a few Studio (single) and two bedroom apartments available. There are 69 four bedroom apartments, 10 two bedroom apartments and 7 Studio apartments.  Studio apartments do cost more.  Be sure to check the application for price.

Do we get wireless, cable and phone service in the RLC?
Yes, there is wireless throughout the building. Cable TV will be accessible in each bedroom and in the living room, and there will be one phone line per apartment.

How do I sign up? 
Applications are available in Meyer Hall 115 and at the RLC Front Desk.  Housing Sign-Up will take place on Friday, March 20th from 12pm-5pm in LTC 214/215.  A down payment of $125 is due at the time of sign-up.

Am I allowed to have a mini-fridge?
Each apartment is provided with a full-size refrigerator.  For this reason, no mini-refrigerators are allowed in the RLC.

Who is eligible to live in the RLC?
The RLC is reserved for upperclassmen students.  Luther and Wollaeger Halls house first year females and males.
