Journal Articles

Sometimes you will find the full text of an article inside the database you are searching. Other times, you might find only a citation. "How can I get articles that aren't available in full text when I only have a citation?" is a very common question.

First, try using our Journal Finder/Article Linker tool.
You can access this in the Find Articles section of our library page, and you can also find this tool embedded in some of our databases.
Look for this image (or something like it) when in a database: Journal Finder with Article Linker. It can help make the process of finding full text with only a citation extremely easy!

If you are unable to get the article through another database or the library's print/microfim collection, you may fill out an interlibrary loan form to request the item from another library. Choose the form that matches the type of material you would like to request, and fill out the form completely. If you are using Journal Finder/Article Linker, you will only need to double check the citation information that the computer enters automatically into the form.
