Learning Services Staff

Jan Baumgart has worked in higher education for 16 years. Her professional positions in education have included work experiences at Headstart, special education, elementary and high school. She received her undergraduate degree from Concordia and her graduate degree from the University of St. Thomas, in St. Paul, MN. Her experience includes working with students in a college counseling center serving in both career and personal counseling areas. Jan's work at Concordia has included the Academic Development Program, the Peer Tutor Program, teaching, counseling, providing academic support to individual students as well as presentations to various groups regarding facets of the learning process. Jan has been active professionally and served on the boards of the Minnesota College Personnel Association and the Minnesota Association for Developmental Education. She has made presentations at both the state and national level.
