Mission of SHRM: SHRM serves the needs of the human resource management professional by providing the most essential and comprehensive set of resources available.  In addition, the Society is committed to advancing the human resource profession and the capabilities of all human resource professionals to ensure that HR is an essential and effective partner in developing and executing organizational strategy. Purpose of CSP SHRM Student Chapter: The purpose of the CSP SHRM Student Chapter is to provide a local forum for your personal and professional development; provide an opportunity to develop your leadership, managerial, public speaking and group decision-making skills; provide a local networking arena; and to provide a focus for legislative attention to local, state, and national human resource management issues.

Concordia St. Paul is launching a SHRM student chapter this fall.  Membership in the student chapter is open to students and alumni of Concordia St. Paul who are current SHRM members. This is a great opportunity for members to:

• Develop leadership skills
• Gain experience as an officer on a board
• Keep up to date in the field of human resources
• Be recognized as an expert in the field
