Janine Papenfuss comes to the Careeer Services team with over 8 years of experience in higher education in career advising and placement as well as academic advising. Most recently, Janine managed placement activities assisting graduating students and alumni with the job search process, providing extensive assistance with resume writing, effective job searching, and interviewing. She earned a Master of Science Degree in College Counseling and Student Development from St. Cloud State University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from St. Norbert College. Janine will be working most closely with Undergraduate Juniors and Seniors, students in the Cohort/Undergraduate Accelerated programs, Graduate students, and Alumni

Cindy O'Donovan

Cindy O’Donovan, Assistant Director for Employer Relations, joined us on December 3^rd. Her role with Concordia is to work directly with employers to increase the number of internship and job opportunities for our students and to more closely connect students directly with employers. She comes to us with a strong background in HR, in both the retail and healthcare industries.

Cindy received her Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication from Metropolitan State University.  She has extensive recruitment experience and has served several committees on workforce development at state and local levels. 

Renee Rerko

Renee Rerko serves as Career Exploration Advisor and PSEO Coordinator at Concordia University.  She provides career and academic advising to students who are exploring their academic major and career path, as well as advises all PSEO students on and off campus.  She currently teaches a class entitled Career Exploration and Assessment (SSS150) to assist students in exploring career and major choices.

Renee has over five years of experience in higher education, including roles in admissions, student services, academic advising, and tutoring services.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Indianapolis and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.  She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Education in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University.  She is involved in the Minnesota Career Development Association (MCDA), National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), and Minnesota College Personnel Association (MCPA).

In her free time, she enjoys watching as many movies as possible, watching and attending Minnesota sporting events (especially the Vikings!), and hanging out with her husband and cat, Ninja
