JOB AND INTERNSHIP FAIR/SCIENTIFIC CAREERS PANEL DISCUSSION

February 19-20, 2008, at the Minneapolis Convention Center
Registration required:  Deadline to register and complete all steps with Career Services is Monday, February 11th by 4pm. This includes having your resume edited by Career Services, posting resume in career fair website, and attending a seminar called “How to Work a Job Fair Like a Pro”. This year, this event is free (except for parking) due to a contribution from CPP, the printing company for the Myers Briggs assessment.  http://www.mnpcfair.org.

Scientific Careers Panel Discussion
February 19 at 10am and at 11am. Must register to attend the job fair as listed above.
Each panel will be comprised of 5-8 scientists from local biomedical/medical device, pharmaceutical science or biotech organizations.  Panelists will present information on their organization, what they do, their career path, etc...to students interested in the industry.  Organizations represented at previous job fair panels include: 3M, Aerotek Scientific, Beckman Coulter, Boston Scientific, Ecolab, General Mills, Guidant, Medtox, and Medtronic

Lynx/Timberwolves Career Fair 

Job fair attendees will have the opportunity to visit each table to discuss possible internships, career opportunities, and gain insight on a career path in the sports industry!
 
The organizations that are participating include:  Timberwolves/Lynx, Vikings, Wild/Swarm, Twins, Alexandria Beetles, Minnesota Maulers, Rochester Honkers, Waterloo Bucks, FSN North, St. Paul Saints, Aramark, Alexandria Blizzards.

The majority of positions that organizations are looking for include internships and entry level positions in the following areas: Sales, Marketing, Community Relations, Game Operations, Public Relations, Corporate Services, and Broadcasting. Some of the internships are unpaid and some are paid, as well as some are full time, and part time.
